This site is dedicated to the reality of living with cancer, and how Endometrial Cancer is one of the most deadly, but least talked about cancers.
Back in 2013, the journey started with a diagnosis of stage one. A few short months later, the surgery came. However, the cancer spread and life changed from that moment. The cancer went from inside the uterus, and into both ovaries. All hope for having a child was lost, and the long battle for life began.
After months of recovery, chemo started. For the next 200 days, chemo happened, with lots of complications. After the end of chemo, and many more surgeries, Amy had a short break, then a tumor came back. Emergency surgery and radiation was the next step. After 100 days of radiation, Amy was allowed another short break. Then 4 more tumors happened and chemo started again. After that, another tumor came, and radiation started once again. This past week, before the close of radiation, the cancer spread once again. If you are keeping track, that is 5 times in less than 4 years. Amy will start chemo in April 2018 for the third time.
